I bought one of those do-it-yourself Kits-R-Us USB and serial programmers for PIC microcontrollers. Easy to build. Works great.

But there were no Linux or Mac OS X tools available to read or write to a PIC with this hardware.  So I undertook creating a command-line programmer written in Python with Luke Moloney. With some documentation and USB dumps, we made some early progress but then I got busy with other things and Luke really needed it done so he’s carrying the torch now. He has everything you need at his site.  It’s called Krupic.
